What is Far Westerns?
Far Westerns is an official NCVF ranking tournament hosted by the UC Davis Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Clubs in Sacramento, CA since 1986. Teams from all across the western US come to play in this competitive, two-day tournament. Far Westerns typically takes place around President’s Day weekend in February. We are always looking to expand the tournament, so if your team is interested in participating, reach out to the club President listed here.
Tournament Information

Tournament Classification: NCVF Regulation Event

Location: Capital Sports Center, Sacramento CA

Cost: $550 by January 10th, 2025. $600 by February 1st, 2025.

Refund Policy: The last day to withdraw is February 1st, 2025. Requests for refunds must be made in writing.

Teams: 28 team capacity. A and B teams welcome.

Results: Full results and the All-Tournament team will be posted. Live results will be posted during the event.

Prize: Free registration for Far Westerns 2026 for the gold bracket champions.

Referees: Certified up-refs will be used for all matches.

Tournament Director: A tournament director will run the event. Scores and schedules will be posted and updated throughout the event using a live link.

All-Tournament Team: Teams that qualify for the gold bracket will have players selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Spectators: Spectators will be charged a $5 entry fee upon entering the gym each day. Kids under 12 are free.
